Trepl, Jo Ann Olson

July 27, 1940 – September 25, 2023

Our Loving mother, Jo Ann Olson Trepl, age 83, passed away peacefully at her home in Hockley, Texas surrounded by family, on September 25, 2023.

She is preceded in death by her parents Jack Nance and Helen Irene Lloyd Olson; brother Jack Lloyd Olson; daughter Kathrine Renee Trepl Barlow.  

Jo Ann is survived by sons John Alan Trepl II and wife Kim Dong, James English Trepl; daughters Elisabeth Michele Trepl, Margaret Irene Trepl Howe; Twelve grandchildren; Four great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Graveside Services will be Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at 10am at Macedonia Cemetery.

Tilbury, Early Mae Bird

Early Mae Bird Tilbury, 92, passed away on January 4, 2022, in Houston, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents William Edward Bird and Mary Humphreys Bird Madden; her two husbands, Jerry Tilbury and Rudolph Pusok; four brothers Sam and Truman Madden, George Bird, and Glyn Madden; two sisters Velva McPike and Verna Rice.

She is survived by her two children, daughter Mary Luverna White and son Thomas Edward Tilbury, daughter-in-law, Leah Tilbury, sister Joyce Curry; six grandchildren Christopher Milton, Charlotte Pugh, Paulette Babich, Kevin Milton, Donald Siptak and Troy Tilbury; ten great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and dear friends and loved ones.

Visitation will be Monday, January 10, 2022 from 6 – 8 pm. Memorial Services will be Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at 1 pm at Canon Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Macedonia Springer Cemetery in Hockley, Texas

Tinker. Alva Edward “Ed” Jr.

A. Edward Tinker, Jr
1946-­2016
Alva Edward “Ed” Tinker passed away on October 27, 2016, after a long and valiant battle with colon cancer. He was born in Granite City, Illinois on October 19, 1946, the first child of the late Alva Edward and Lorene Walton Tinker. He graduated from Granite City High School in 1964. He served 3 tours with US Army Special Forces in Vietnam until November 1968. He moved to Houston, Texas in 1972, Cypress, Texas in 1978 and Magnolia, Texas in May 2016.

Ed was an industrial sales manager focusing primarily on flow measurement equipment. He enjoyed time with his grandsons, his Dodge Challenger, golf, laughing, telling jokes, giving gifts, crossword puzzles and reading. He saved his coins all year for large fireworks displays on Independence Day. Ed is survived by his wife of 25 years, Diane Gandy Tinker; son Allen and his wife the former Felisha Reyes, grandsons, Aiden and Hunter; brothers Ron of Spring, Texas and Larry of Poplar Bluff, Missouri.  A wake celebrating Ed’s life will be held at a later date. A private interment will be at Springer Macedonia Cemetery in Waller County, Texas. Thomas, Michael Ryan

Michael Ryan Thomas, age 33 of Houston, passed away on January 12, 2010.

Michael is survived by his grandmother, Dorothy Walker; parents, Charles and Phyllis Thomas; brothers, Chuck Thomas and wife Sheila and children Tessa, Jack and Ty, and Mark Thomas and wife Janna and children Taylor and Jake; along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 14, 2010 from 5 to 8pm at Canon Funeral Home with a Prayer Service at 7:00pm. Funeral Services were conducted on Friday, January 15, 2010 at 10:00am at Canon Funeral Home.

Interment followed at Macedonia Cemetery.

Michael lived to be 33 years, 4 months and 16 days old.
