Snow, Annie Laura Dinkins

Annie Laura Snow, born October 31, 1914 in Waller County to Laura Hughes Dinkins and Olan Oglethorpe Dinkins, but after the death of her mother during childbirth, she was raised as a foster daughter by her aunt Enis Dinkins Yeats and her uncle, Herbert Yeates. She married Robert Clayton Snow in 1931. From this union 7 children were born. They lived in the friendship community of Waller County. They were active in school, church and political activities. She is preceded in death by her husband of 39 years Robert, her infant son Daniel and daughter Barbara Snow Stanford; she is survived by her daughters, Bobbie and husband Harold Buckley, Mary Bonner Ragland and Joy Smith; sons, Dwayne Snow and wife Elaine, and Donald Snow and wife Marilyn; son-in-law, Quinn Ray Stanford; 13 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. (Five generations). In her retirement years in Bellville her favorite things were her vegetable and flower gardens and TV church. In 2007 she moved to Kruse Memorial Village in Brenham, to have 24-hour care. She passed from this life peacefully and will be Thoroughly missed and remembered by all. Visitation was held from 5 – 8 PM on Tuesday September 30, 2008 and services were held Wednesday October 1, 2008 at 10 AM at Canon Funeral Home in Waller. Interment followed at Macedonia Cemetery with Pastor Wayne Martin officiating.

Annie snow lived to be 93 years, 10 months and 26 days old.

Thomas, Michael Ryan

Michael Ryan Thomas, age 33 of Houston, passed away on January 12, 2010.

Michael is survived by his grandmother, Dorothy Walker; parents, Charles and Phyllis Thomas; brothers, Chuck Thomas and wife Sheila and children Tessa, Jack and Ty, and Mark Thomas and wife Janna and children Taylor and Jake; along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 14, 2010 from 5 to 8pm at Canon Funeral Home with a Prayer Service at 7:00pm. Funeral Services were conducted on Friday, January 15, 2010 at 10:00am at Canon Funeral Home.

Interment followed at Macedonia Cemetery.

Michael lived to be 33 years, 4 months and 16 days old.

Snow, Kathleen Myrtle Turnage

Kathleen Myrtle Turnage Snow age 95 of Waller, Texas passed away on March 17, 2018. She is preceded in death by her husband’s Jimmy Turnage, and M.B. Snow, and two sons Elton and James Turnage. She is survived by sons David Turnage and wife Kathleen, Scott Snow and wife Linda, and daughter Judy Adams, 17 grandchildren, and 25 great grandchildren. A Graveside Services will be Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at 10am at Macedonia Cemetery with Pastor Joel Bauler.

Snow, Jessica Ann

Jessica Ann Snow, age 26 of Hockley passed away on March 14, 2021. Jessica is preceded in death by her grandparents. She is survived by, parents, Pat & Gay Snow; and, brothers, Kevin Stegint (fiancé, Veronica), Brandon (Paige) Snow and Christopher (Hilda) Snow; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 18, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 with a Rosary at 7:00 pm at Canon Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Friday, March 19, 2021 at 2:00 pm at St. Katherine Drexel Catholic Church in Hempstead with Father Xavier Bilavendiran officiating. Interment will follow at Macedonia Cemetery.

Funeral Services For Mr. Robert C. Snow

       Robert Clayton Snow, 64, died December 8, in the Bellville Hospital.

       He formerly served as Commissioner for Pct. 2 and 7, and Justice of the Peace.  He recently retired from the County Road Dept.  He was a Waller County resident for 60 years or more.

       Funeral services were held at 11: A.M., Thursday at the Waller McWilliams-Canon Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Richard McCrosky of Houston officiating.

       He was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church.

       Survivors – His wife, Mrs. Annie Snow of Hockley; Sons, Dwayne Snow from Rockrock, Texas; Donald Snow of Hockley; Daughters, Mrs. Bobbie Buckley and Mrs. Barbara Stanford of Bellville, Texas; Mrs. Mary Pinto of Houston; and Mrs Joy Young of Houston; Sisters, Mrs. Mary McMillon of Houston; Mrs. Estelle Evans, Devers, Texas; Brothers, P.Y. Snow of Hockley; I.B. Snow of Hockley; Wylie, B.D. and M.B. and Wilson Snow all of Houston.

      Burial in Macedonia Cemetery.

Shaver, Charlotte Ann Holder

(Died December 4, 2012)

Charlotte Ann Shaver, age 72 of Hockley, passed away on December 4, 2012. She is preceded in death by her parents Carl and Margie Holder and sister, Patsy Steinke; and is survived by sons Kenneth Shaver and wife Bernice, Billy Shaver and wife Laura; daughter, Pamela Davis and husband Richard Lee; sister Elaine DeLoach and husband Bobby; grandchildren, Christopher Shaun Shaver and wife Josephine, Courtney Taylor Davis, Luke Martin Shaver, Peyton McKenzie Davis, Grace Weaver Shaver and great grand-daughter, Addyson Ava Shaver.

Graveside service will be Friday, December 7, 2012, at 1:00pm at Macedonia Cemetery.

Smith, Michael Todd

MICHAEL TODD SMITH, age 49 of Arp, TX, passed away in a Tyler hospital and went to be with his Lord on July 15, 2009.

He was born January 12, 1960 in Hempstead to the late Oscar Edgar `Tubby’ and Margarett Ruth Whatley Smith. Todd graduated Arp High School in 1978 and attended Louisiana Tech and Sam Houston State University. He married Glenda Santistevan October 8, 1988 in Houston. He served as a Little League Coach for many years and was a volunteer for Cy-Fair Sports Association. He also served as secretary for the Macedonia Cemetery Association and was on the Cattlemans Committee for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Association. His home church is Terra Verde Community Church in Rosehill.

Survivors include his wife, Glenda Smith; son, Korde Michael Smith; daughter, Santana Kimber Smith, all of Arp; brother, Thump Phillips, of Houston; sister, Debbie Gillispie, of Arp; four nephews and a niece, Clint Michael Gillispie, Cayle Gillispie, Gavin Todd Phillips, Ryan Burtrum and Madison Burtrum.

Visitation was held on Friday, July 17, 2009, from 5 to 8pm at Canon Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services were conducted on Saturday, July 18, 2009, at 10:00am at Canon Funeral Home with Pastor David Sumlin officiating.
