during this difficult time.

Loyal customer of Whataburger, Ellis Wesley Clepper was born in Houston, Texas January 14, 1941, and went to be with Jesus on October 7, 2018. As we look back over his life it has been an adventure. He grew up in Hockley, Texas and graduated Waller High School in 1959 where he played on a bi-district championship football team and was named most handsome and best mannered. Ellis joined the Air Force and served in Vietnam. Upon returning from serving his country he became an entrepreneur starting and operating several businesses with his lifelong companion and wife of almost 49 years, Lois. In business one of his greatest achievements was opening the first roofing supply company in the United States, but his crowning achievements were the relationships he made on his way. Ellis had a heart as big as Texas when it came to helping others and often gave of himself so that others would have whatever they needed be it a job, a place to stay or even a vehicle. Ellis was a doer and a giver. He loved the Lord and attended Faith Assembly of God in Houston, Texas for over 30 years before moving back to Hockley and finding Champion Cowboy Church which he loved and attended for 15 years. Ellis loved hunting especially in Colorado and he loved traveling, which includes his most recent trip to Israel in the Spring. Ellis enjoyed his livestock, unsweet tea and working hard.
