Willyard, Anna Ruth Cloud

Anna Ruth Willyard, age 75, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 28, 2025.

Anna was a devoted Christian whose faith guided every aspect of her life. She was a talented artist who found joy in painting, sketching, and drawing — creating beautiful works of art for those she loved most. Anna also dedicated her life to caring for others, working for many years as an LVN and later in home health hospice, offering comfort and compassion to families in need.

She leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory: daughters Sandy Heard and husband David of Brownwood, and Joey Diane Krause and husband Gary of Smithville; brothers Terry Cloud and wife Tammy, and Troy Cloud. She was a proud grandmother to Cassie Rindal and husband Matt of Georgia, Kristian Heard and wife Kayla of Colorado, and Sarah, Madison, and Kyndall Krause of Smithville. Anna was also blessed with great-grandchildren Emilia, Bradley, and Caspian, who brought her endless joy.

Anna is preceded in death by her beloved husband Jim Willyard, her parents Esther and Thomas Cloud, her daughter Sherry Lofman, and her faithful dog, Lucy.

A funeral service celebrating Anna’s life will be held on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Blaylock Funeral Home in Brownwood, with Pastor Todd King officiating. Visitation will follow the service from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. A graveside service will take place at Springer Macedonia Cemetery in Hockley, Texas, at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 5, 2025. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Corrine T. Smith Animal Center c/o Ann Willyard. 3016 Miliam Dr, Brownwood, Tx 76801. 

Anna’s warmth, kindness, and creative spirit will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

White, Mary V.

Mary V. White died October 15, 1998 at the age of 76.

Mrs. White is survived by her sons, Roy Links, Leo William White, Timothy White and Michael A. White; daughters, Helen Links, Anastasia Links and Theodora Jean White; brother, George Zobjeck; 20 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Monday October 19, 1998, at 10 A.M. at Springer Macedonia Cemetery with John Isom officiating.

Wenzel, Alvena Necessary

Alvena Wenzel, age 82 of Hockley, passed away on June 18, 2003. Mrs. Wenzel is survived by her husband, Carl Wenzel; sons, Glenn Wenzel and wife Betty, and David Wenzel and wife Terri; daughter, Evelyn Ramsey and husband Larry; brother, Harril Harvie Necessary and wife Margie; sister, Joyce Mae Clay and husband Chester; 15 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 19, 2003, from 5 – 9pm at Canon Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be Friday, June 20, 2003, at 10:00am at Canon Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Evelyn Cox officiating. Interment will follow at Macedonia Cemetery

Williams, Elsie Jeanene Pennick

September 7, 1934 – March 8, 2019

Elsie Jeanene Williams, age 84, passed away on Friday, March 8, 2019 in San Antonio, TX surrounded by her husband, her three daughters, and a granddaughter. From her birth in Houston, TX on September 7, 1934 to her death she was an inspiration to her family and stayed true to her Christian faith.

She was born to Lillian Dinkins Dabney and Robert Penick and was an only child. She was married to Edward F. Gill from 1954 to 1973. In 1975, in Midland, Texas, she married George Vernon Williams and became a military spouse. The military sent them on adventures to Fort Lewis, Washington and Vicenza, Italy ending up in San Antonio, TX where she worked as a secretary for Diamond Shamrock.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 43 years, George Vernon Williams; daughters Cathy Hopkins, Gena Scott, and Julie Gill; grandchildren Elicia Conroy, Kyle Berg, Ryan Berg, and Kelsie Scott; great grandchildren Lilian Conroy and Daniel Conroy.

Jeanene was preceded in death by her parents, Lillian Dinkins Dabney and Robert Penick; her step[1]father, John Lane Dabney; her grandfather, Oscar M. Dinkins – all from the Hockley, TX area.

 Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at 11:00AM at Northern Hills United Methodist Church, 3703 N Loop 1604 E, San Antonio, TX. Burial will follow at a later date at the Springer Macedonia Cemetery,23391 Macedonia Road, Hockley, Texas.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Jeanene’s name to Northern Hills United Methodist Church.
