Clepper, Ricky Leon

At age 65, Rick passed away in a care facility in San Antonio, Texas on September
7, 2023. He was born in Tomball, Texas on June 9, 1958, to Ventis Clepper and
Helene Maxine Clepper.
Rick was always generous with his time and abilities. He was knowledgeable in
numerous trades and never shied away from hard work. On many occasions he
would work to near exhaustion to finish a job, task, or favor for family or friend.
After the job was done, he would only accept a thank you.
Beyond the tremendous love for his family and friends, Rick adored Tex-Mex Food
with a nice spicy salsa. He would advise any Tex-Mex restaurant waiter to bring a
spoon and salsa in the largest bowl they have in the kitchen. By the end of the
meal, his face would be beaded with sweat to reveal the pains of bliss and
contentment.

Dunn, Connie Darlene Schmidt

May 4, 1958 – October 21, 2023

Connie Darlene Schmidt Dunn, 65, of Tomball, Texas, went home to her Lord and savior Jesus Christ on the morning of October 21, 2023, peacefully in her sleep.

Connie was a loving, caring, generous, and nurturing daughter, wife, mother, and friend. She will be remembered by most for her acts of generosity and service to friends and family.

Connie was born May 4th, 1958, in Tomball, Texas to Nora Earlene Henderson Schmidt & Fred H. Schmidt. Connie was the first born of three children of her parents Earlene and Fred. From birth, Connie’s beloved siblings, Fred “Bubba” Schmidt Jr. and Cindy Schmidt Traylor were cared for, loved by, and supported by their sister.

Connie graduated from Tomball high school where she was a member of the Big Red Band and the pep squad where she beamed with school pride. Connie spent her early adult life doing everything from working in the family business to driving her Trans-Am to the beach.

In 1987 Connie’s brother Bubba introduced her to John Dunn, her future husband. Connie and John were married in May of 1989 in Conroe, TX after which they made their home in The Woodlands, TX. Connie was a loving and devoted wife to John, who was completely enamored by Connie’s spunk and energy. In their 34 years of marriage, John and Connie enjoyed traveling, the finer things in life, and inseparable companionship.

In 1997, Connie gave birth to their first and only son Christopher Dunn. They welcomed him into their lives with glee because he not only completed their family but was a special blessing after waiting years for such a gift. Connie devoted herself entirely to becoming a loving mother and making a home for her family to flourish in. Connie loved to support her family however she could, and her love was boundless. In 2019 Connie was diagnosed with dementia. Although she lost some of her cognitive abilities, she never lost her spirit of joy, nurturing, and love.

Connie is survived by her parents Fred & Earlene Schmidt, brother Fred “Bubba” Schmidt, sister Cindy Schmidt Traylor, husband John Patrick Dunn, and son Christopher Evan Dunn, along with numerous extended family.

Connie will be missed by all who were touched by her compassion, caring, and love. Although her family is heartbroken by her passing, all are comforted by the fact that she has gone home to her savior Jesus.

‘Therefore, we do not give up. Even though our outer person is being destroyed, our inner person is being renewed day by day. So, we do not focus on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. For our momentary light affliction is producing for us an absolutely incomparable eternal weight of glory.’

2 Corinthians 4:16-18
